Hey ppl, long time no see, been busy and stretched into all kinds of directions. So i just got word that I can post these. I'm pleased to show you 2 designs I did for Upper Decks All star vinyl line. First is Carey Price of the Montreal Canadians. What an honor it is to design figures, and my goto guy I worked with at upper deck is certainly one of the best clients I ever worked with, hes a great editor and knew how to get the best work out of me. Thanks again, Scot. And I must say, from what I can see the sculpters did a bang up job, being my style is certainly not the easiest to make physical I'm sure as 2d as it is, if not impossible, but they sure did it, and it still looks like my drawings. crazy...
I would love to get a contract designing hockey figures. Great job on this (and the others I've seen of the series)... although, they kinda screwed up in translation of your drawing when they made the Price figure. In the final figure, his body is waaaaay to skinny. It looks like he has no body padding or thigh padding... no goalie would look that way. But regardless, your drawings look great.
But I do know Roy is the best.
I seen him play during the World Juniors, he was very good
I would fav it but unfortually I'm a Toronto Fan
Congrats, they look awesome!
Roy.
